Has phone nums, opening hours, address in chinese and english, and magnified version to show your Driver. Juar great.

This app has been immensely helpful living in Beijing! However, there have been several addresses that are wrong (one in Chao Yang district that says its in Haidian... on the other side of BJ!). If the info was 100% accurate, Id give it 5 stars.

Just returned from three-week vacation in Beijing. Relied on this app every time I got into a taxi and it worked perfectly. However, need a way to enter your return address; othwise, how do you get home? For hotels this isnt a problem since you use one of their business cards. But, I had an apprtment and had to print my own cards.

I just returned from two weeks in Beijing and found this app to be VERY helpful in getting around the city easily. During my two weeks I did not encounter a single taxi driver which spoke English. This app made it as simple as selecting where I wanted to go and just showing the driver the "taxi card". I would have given it 5 stars if not for the fact it really needs more locations. Overall all though... Great app!!!

I spent a week in Beijing and this app made it much easier to get around. ~95% of the landmarks, restaurants, and other destinations were programmed in and every taxi driver understood where we wanted to go. I did not want to turn a cell phone on and this phone made it so I never had to call my hotel concierge or enable the data roaming on my iphone. I probably saved the cost of the app right there. FWIW: Some places have little reviews in them and I found them to be mostly correct.

I also just came back from Beijing and really enjoyed using this app. Before leaving, I hesitated spending $10 for this since I thought a guidebook would be enough. Taxi drivers dont speak English, period. This app is like magic. I choose my destination, press Show Taxi Card and off we go. No odd hand gestures with taxi drivers, no frustrating mispronunciations on my part, and no pointing at the guidebook. It show the exact address in Chinese which most guidebooks will not show. Two suggestions for the developer: 1) Add the following entry for translation: "Please take me to the nearest subway station". Sometimes taxi drivers will not take you somewhere that is out of their preferred service area so you may be stuck. 2) Add "Create itinerary" to make custom itineraries with selected favorites that can be ordered however you want for easier retrieval. Please make this app for Tokyo.

I just came back from Beijing where I chunked down the hefty $9.99 price based on some other reviews and in hopes that this application was that good. In short, it IS that good. We definitely got good used from a few of the taxi cards and all but 1 taxi knew what to do (one got us hopefully lost, but Im not sure the card was to blame there...). I was, however, disappointed that the hotel cards werent deeper. We stayed at the Westin Financial Street which was not in here. Also, the nearby Ritz Carlton. To make this a true resource the writers should really go deep on the hotels. Otherwise, great app and a great idea.

Most useful App I had when I went to beijing. We used Taxis to get everywhere using this app and I cannot speak a word of Chinese. Just said hello (I know stupid yank) then showed them the screen. We used it to go to Temple of heaven, pearl market, Dirt street, Plastered T-shirt, summer palace, old summer palace, zoo, cresent moon restaurant (must go), Chuan Ban szcheuan provin. gov. resturant, shard box, etc. My only word of warning is the listings (mostly restaurants) are not current. Beijing changes very fast. Make sure before you go to check if the address is correct. You can check if the listing is still correct on beijinger website or cn.weekender website or localnoodle website case and point - noodle loft near our hotel had closed 6 months ago but the taxi card was still listed and they did not list the new location.

I spent an hour adding BJ destinations to my favorites list before my upcoming trip only to lose them all when I closed the program. Tried a few times...same issue.

I usually know the names of the clubs and bars that Im trying to get to, but no clue what the Chinese addresses are. With this I just have to search for stuff in English and show the driver the Chinese address. I dont have to worry about writing down and losing cards/notes and getting lost anymore! It doesnt have like GPS or anything, since it doesnt connect to the internet at all, but that means I dont have to worry about roaming charges (I just leave it on airplane mode). Maybe if I had internet itd be nice! But I usually know where Im going anyways so whatever.

Shows shanghai stuffs... Rip off do not get it if you are traveling to beijing

As you will see in the developers note, version 4.2 is buggy and does not show Beijing information. How incredibly stupid are you guys to have a buggy version on the site? Put the prior version back until you have debugged the current version! People do autoupdates with reading the lame warning and suddenly find a functioning app is utterly worthless as a result of your own development errors. Stop blaming the apple store, stop dragging your heels and put a functioning version back on the website for this EXPENSIVE and NONFUNCTIONAL app.

Am happy to see another update for this very useful application. I live in Beijing and find this application an excellent way to get to the places that I cant correctly tell the drivers. I have used this application on a daily basis for nearly two years and it is not buggy and never crashes. It has a good, easily searchable database that even includes many of the more obscure places one might want to visit in Beijing. I would definitely recommend the application to any visitor to Beijing looking to easily get about the city and to any "laowei" already here who might need a supplement to their language skills. I rate this application a "must have."

A must have! Would not be able to get around Beijing, especially the more obscure places without it. The app has never failed me. Genius!!!

Its great to not have to carry a real taxi book around. Offline mapping needs improvement.

I wasted money on this one. It doesnt even know where the Crowne Plaza International Airport Hotel in Beijing is located. Also if you add an address like a friends house, it doesnt translate it for the taxi driver. I found it worthless. Save your money.

It really needs an update - add more venues! Also, it needs to work on the update. Every time I update, it erases all my favorites!

Desperately in need of updating.
