Awesome never go out without it!

Taxi cards, address, phone numbers are very very very usefully BUT it is rare when the spot is located at the right place on Google map. This is really disappointing.

So many new places opened and are not in the list. So many places closed and are still in the list. Would really need a serious update!

I like this app, it simplifys life in Beijing a lot. The big charcters are easy to read for taxi drivers. Searching is very good. Why not 5 stars .... because of A, update frequency it is not every 2 weeks, as mentioned at web site (currently 2 month or less) B, no possibility to add self created cards (such as friends address, own company, secret places (restaurants not mentioned in travel guides)

Version 2 is a great step forward! When I first purchased the app, I send a feedback to the developer, asking for several new features. The developer responded quickly and 1 1/2 weeks later, the requested features have been added.

The idea is great but my Beijing Taxi guide contains only Shanghai sites.

This is an invaluable tool here and if you can find what you want to go to or something close in the many listings the taxi cards work great . The big however... if you click on the address in the info screen it takes you to a map with a pin of the location. This function is grossly inacurate about 50% of the time. Come on guys this needs work many business with diferent addresses all show the same location on the map. The distance feature suffers the same problems. If the business you are looking for shows up in a group of businesses the same exact distance from you be suspicious if it is by itself it is probably accurate. Needs work but still worth gold here.

As the others say, what a waste! The information is very outdated. Restaurants that shut down three years ago are listed here as if they are still open. And at $10, it is one of the more expensive apps I have ever purchased.

This is one of the most useful applications I have seen. Would be great if this could be followed with an edition for Shanghai, Seoul and Tokyo. The utility extends beyond the Olympics to business travel in Asia Pacific.

I was in Beijing constantly using taxis, and it was difficult to communicate with the drivers. Next time Im in beijing itll be a breeze. Plus when I start learning Chinese its like having flashcards on your iphone to practice how to read signs. Also, if you are walking around you can use it to "read" the signs by matching the chinese characters. But itd be nice to have reviews and location_based recommendations

Ive been on vacation in Beijing for three weeks now. This app has been amazingly helpful in finding places and things to do that many locals barely know of. Execution is pretty good. The only complaint is difficulty in getting the maps function to work with China Mobile internet. Also, the iPhone chooses the less developed Chinese language maps through wifi.

Just spent a week in Beijing. This application worked flawlessly. Perfect tool to get around Beijing. Only two places we wanted to go were not in the guide. We also found that the guides recommendations and descriptions were on point. If you are traveling to Beijing or live there buy this application it is worth every penny.

I live in Beijing and speak good Chinese, but this is very useful for those situations where you dont know the Chinese name of a hotel or a restaurant or whatever. But do those of who purchased it in 2008 need to buy it again for the 2009 updates??

Fantastic app. Lets hope they continue to do frequent updates since things change so quickly in Beijing. Once iPhone OS 3.0 is released, it would also be nice to integrate the map into the app itself rather than having to exit the app and open the Maps app.

Im an American in Beijing right now for a couple months. In our first week, this app has already proven invaluable. Its worth every penny of $9.99. Most taxi drivers have ZERO ENGLISH and this app will get you where you want to go, more often than not. Its saved us a whole lot of frustration. The library of destinations is surprisingly vast. Every place from the tourbooks that Ive looked for has been present. Absolutely recommended.

many of the addresses were not findable by the taxi drivers. i found out this was because the chinese characters for the address were not correctly written, eg missing strokes. this is a brilliant idea but needs to be implemented properly. right now i only found it most usable as a directory and being able to call places to give the taxi driver the phone.
